Laptop and Textbook Return Procedures

Broken DellLaptops with chargers and textbooks must be returned in person to an adult in the media center where they will be scanned in immediately and taken off your record or you will be charged for them. DO NOT leave materials in classrooms, at the front desk, or anywhere else on campus to avoid costly obligations. Check what you owe by visiting vPortal and clicking on the app for DESTINY. To pay obligations, visit Ms. Tavenner or click HERE to access the Online Payment System

We will begin collecting the school-issued 1-to-1 devices on May 6th.  We will be inspecting the device when returned.  To make sure the process goes quickly and smoothly, you should check the computer before returning it to make sure that the device:

  • Powers on

  • Successfully charges

  • Does not have a cracked screen

  • Does not have major body damage

  • Has power and volume buttons that work correctly

  • Is not missing keys

  • Does not have a headphone jack with item broken inside

  • Does not have power button damage

  • Does not have keyboard keys damaged

  • Does not have a damaged power plug

  • Does not have stickers and/or drawings on it

If your computer has any of these issues, bring it to the media center BEFORE the collection date so it can be handled efficiently and will not jeopardize your graduation.

Seniors who have outstanding obligations will be unable to get their diploma at graduation. Be sure to come to speak to us about issues early! When you return your laptops, all stickers must be removed, and you must wipe down the device before returning it with the charger. Lost chargers cost $25.

Friday, May 6th 8:00-3:45 First Day for Senior Returns

This day is available for you to return anything you do not need through the end of the year. We will accept returns EXCEPT DURING TESTING.  If the door says CLOSED FOR TESTING, we are.  Please return later.

May 17th 8:00-3:45 (Senior Breakfast Day)

After you participate in the Senior Breakfast, you can return any materials you still have.

May 23rd 8:00-3:00 (Graduation Practice Day)

Before graduation practice at 4 pm, you can return any materials you still have.

If your diploma is held after graduation due to obligations, you can visit the school to clear up obligations and return materials at any point. If school is still in session, you will proceed to the front office, and they will contact the media center.

9th-11th Grade Students

Whenever the media center is open, we are available for check-outs and returns of laptops all year. All laptops must be turned in before summer so that they can be reimaged. The goal is for you to receive the same device back, so you do not need to remove stickers unless you are not returning to our school next year. We will need you to put your name and alpha code on the top of the device with painters’ tape that we will provide. You will need to wipe down the device and return the charger. When cleaning your device, never spray the laptop directly. Spray a clean cloth and use it to wipe it down. The media center will have cleaning supplies for you.

If you are registered for summer school and need a laptop, you still need to come to the media center to renew your device but know that you will need to turn in your device at the beginning of the school year for reimaging.
